Working across film, sound, installation, sculpture, performance, and text, Laure Prouvost explores language, translation, memory, and sensory experience through immersive environments that blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. Through sensory installations, she examines how meaning shifts through miscommunication, fragmented narratives, and imagined recollections. Blending moving image, objects, architecture, and wordplay, her works invite viewers into poetic and disorienting worlds. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including Grand Palais, Paris; Palais de Tokyo, Paris; the New Museum, New York; Tate Britain, London; and Pirelli HangarBicocca, Milan. She represented France at the 58th Venice Biennale (2019), and her work is held in collections including the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden, MAC/VAL, Kadist Foundation, and the Saatchi Collection. Prouvost earned a BFA from Central Saint Martins, London (2002), and an MFA from Goldsmiths, University of London (2010). She received the Max Mara Art Prize for Women (2011) and the Turner Prize (2013).
