Gharam Electric is the Futuro-Arabe music project of Lebanese musician and vocalist Wassim Bou Malham. Born from a deep immersion in Arabic musical heritage—maqam scales, classical tradition, the full emotional weight of the Arabic language—the project translates that inheritance into something entirely contemporary: synthesizers, soulful grooves, falsetto vocals, and lyrics that could only exist in Arabic. Bou Malham spent a decade fronting Who Killed Bruce Lee, the Lebanese synth-rock band signed to Sony Music Germany and Rough Trade, before co-founding Factory People, the Beirut institution behind Grand Factory and countless other landmark venues. Gharam Electric is where all of that—the musicianship, the cultural thinking, the years of building—converges into something personal. Gharam Electric was named among SceneNoise’s Breakthrough Artists of 2023 and featured on NoiseRecords’s landmark compilation Manshaa. The official launch of debut album Afterlove / ما بعد الحب took place at the Dubai Opera in June 2026.
