Storytelling Workshop: Maritime Life and Collective Imagination with Mercedes Azpilicueta
- Children’s Activities
- Free
Hosted in the Maritime Life Gallery at the Natural History Museum, this workshop invites participants to engage with marine organisms and ecosystems through storytelling, speculation, and creative world-building. Drawing inspiration from the gallery’s displays, participants will develop fictional characters based on marine life and collaboratively create narratives exploring their relationships to the natural environment. Guided by the artist, participants will transform these stories into a performance script, design simple costumes, and work collectively towards a final presentation. The workshop encourages creativity, ecological awareness, and new ways of relating to the natural world through imagination and embodied learning.
