SILENCE by Project 3N represents a radical reinterpretation of two seemingly disparate practices: the contemplative ritual of traditional Korean tea ceremony and the dynamic, gravity-defying vocabulary of vertical dance. In this work, the quiet, deliberate movements of preparing and serving tea unfold simultaneously with the ascending motion of performers moving vertically along ropes. Audience participants are invited into an intimate sensory experience centred on the flow of water, the pouring and receiving of tea, the subtle sounds of water passing from vessel to vessel. Through these seemingly simple acts, viewers become conscious of time itself: how moments accumulate, how ritual structures experience, how the body and the everyday object together create meaning.
