A hands-on workshop in which children create a mask from plastic waste and found materials, mirroring Serge Attukwei Clottey’s own practice. The mask reflects the journey at the heart of his work: objects made for one purpose, transformed into something else. Just as the gallon container moves from oil vessel to water carrier to sculptural material, each child transforms discarded materials into a mask of their own, a small, physical act of turning something thrown away into something new. Staged outdoors, with the artist’s new commission as a backdrop for the session.
