Located in neighbouring districts of Al Ain, Al Qattara Oasis and Al Towayya Roundabout connect two distinct aspects of the city’s landscape. Al Qattara Oasis, one of six oases in the UNESCO World Heritage Cultural Sites of Al Ain, has sustained agriculture and settlement for centuries through its *falaj* irrigation system. In contrast, Al Towayya is a well-established residential neighbourhood defined by villas, schools, and community spaces. Together, these sites illustrate how Al Ain’s identity has long been shaped by the coexistence of cultivated oasis landscapes and closely connected residential communities.
